Bonjour,
I installed vlc 1.1.0 and when starting the program the update of the font cache is hangig. When I cancel it, vlc doesn't work any more. It does not come to the end of "font caching".
I tried the portable version of portableapps.com, it's exactly the same problem.
I used the old portable version before, and had no problem with font cache. When starting the old vlcportable again, there is no problem. Only in the installed vlc 1.1.0 and the portable vlc 1.1.0...

Do you see a %appdata%/vlc/****-cache file created ?
