Secam K1 standard selection and VLC 1.1.0

Hello,

I live in a country where the standard is SECAM K1.
Trying to use VLC in order to watch TV I can not succeed to make it work.

When I go into the Media menu, try to open a DirectShow peripheric, then choose "Peripheric property" and "Tuner property" box checked:
I am able to see the standard selection SECAM_K1 for the peripheric property, but then in the Tuner property window I don"t have this choice only SECAM_K...
I saw a fix for this but I dont know if VLC 1.1.0 has it:
http://mailman.videolan.org/pipermail/v ... 67318.html

Why the SECAM_K1 standard is not display in the selection for the Tuner Property windows ?

Regards,

Emmanuel

The fix is only on Linux, as I see it.

Thanks Jean-Baptiste for this update.

Any chance to have the fix performed on the win32 sources?

Emmanuel

Well, I am afraid you might need to do it yourself...

AFAIK this choice is given by the DirectShow drivers.
So update to the latest DirectX 9 runtime (even if you are running Windows 7, install DirectX 9 which is a complement of DX 10 and does not replace it, and which is missing by default) and also update the drivers of your device.

I did not succeed to get the SECAM_K1 selection choice by installing DirectX 9...

I tried also to use vlc on linux version 1.0.6 but same thing:

I would like to ask you about one fix developped regarding the standard selection (PAL, SECAM, ...).
I live in a country where the standard is SECAM_K1 and I use vlc 1.0.6 under linux:

Under Fedora 12:
vlc-1.0.6-1.fc12.i686
vlc-core-1.0.6-1.fc12.i686

By using the cvlc command to catch the tuner card signal and setting standard in the command line I did not see the SECAM K1, so I wonder if the fix has been committed or not in this release or if I have to patch the sources:

http://git.videolan.org/?p=vlc.git;a=co ... 7c342b7236

I used:

$ cvlc -vv v4l2:// :v4l2-dev=/dev/video0 :v4l2-adev=hw.1,0 :v4l2-tuner-frequency=207250 :v4l2-standard=13 ....

I dont see SECAM K1
