jumbled up video for a few seconds

Hi All

I am using videolan 1.05 goldeneye on win 7 ultimate on Nvidia GT 240 DDR5.
Why do I get video artifacts (jumbled up video for a few seconds) whenever I move the video seeker ? This only happens with videos which are high data rate e.g. 4000 kbps.
This happens with all my machines but I thought this video card is fast enough and I would get rid of this issue. I guess its more to do with settings ?
any help ?

Current VLC doesn't support frame accurate seeking with all container formats. Some formats will work better in VLC 1.1.0

too bad, KM player works better than this. But, I still like VLC.

I am sure you are speaking of MKV seeking, and this is fixed in 1.1.0-pre4

Yes, one of the files are mkv. But, VLC does not play well high resolution wmv files also. It plays best the regular 1500 kbps xvid/avi files. I thought that I need to tweak some settings under preferences.
Anyways, where can I get this 1.1.0-pre4 version ? And how about nightly 1.2 build ?

Yes, the 1.1 fixes mkv seeking.
1.2, I wouldn't use it, if I were you.
