Video does not fully load

I am sorry for the vagueness of this issue for a user but I was unable to witness the event.

The user has windows 7, Lenovo x200 tablet, and VLC 1.0.3

he had three PowerPoint presentations open and opened a video in VLC by double clicking it to test. He then closed the video and showed one of the presentations. When he doubled clicked the video again, it would not load. The VLC screen resized correctly but the screen was grey and the control buttons were grayed out. The video he was trying to run was stored local and worked about 10 minutes prior. He tried several times to open it before he rebooted and it corrected the issue.

Any idea what could have caused this.

If rebooting helps, and there isn't any VLC.exe running in background, I would guess buggy device driver that freezes VLC.

Is it similar to what i described in my post here, it sounds like it to me but your description of the resizing doesn't happen when mine goes, viewtopic.php?f=14&t=75863
if you read to the end my temporary fix was to change the output mode to opengl

thank you. I re-installed the player and so far we cannot make it happen but I will try this if the error returns.
