Window Sizing and placement

Postby ne014x » 21 Apr 2010 03:15

I was using VLC player to monitor 4 different video feeds, using a standard command in a bat file that runs at startup.

Code: Select all

Start C:\Progra~1\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe udp://@:xxxx --video-x=850 --video-y=0 --width=300 --height=200
Obviously I have 4 of these in the file.

After I upgraded to the newer version all the video videos open in the middle of the screen, the correct size but not the right placement, is there anything I can do to get this to work again.

So it will work again in newer versions?

Meanwhile is there anything I can change in the settings to fix the problem our would it be best sold by going back to the older version?

Yes. It will work in 1.1.0 and newer releases.

This isn't settings issue. It is a bug. You have to patch source code and build new VLC if you want this to work with VLC 1.0.5
