Is there a workaround - i've just searched the phrase slave-input is broken and it seems other users experienced the same issues in similar scenarios combining video and audio. Can you tell me more on this whole "slave-input is broken" issue? If you capture desktop, you cannot capture audio same time, because slave-input is broken.
I want try to follow your suggestion. Can you provide a command line that will capture desktop audio, please?Only workaround I know is to start two VLC instances and record video with other and audio with another.
You might get some traction from getting a second VLC going that records audio and video from the first (?)Please can you give me an hint on how i can capture (and encode) my desktop audio?
Thanks
I wonder how people like this guy: http://www.sensoray.com/support/videoLan.htm were able to multiplex well with VLC.There hasn't been good slave-input in VLC IIRC. Only workaround I know is to start two VLC instances and record video with other and audio with another.
what audio input are you using?I'm having the exact same problem as Norrin. I did pretty much what he did also (adding an input-slave device to the main Desktop capture), and didn't get any errors, but also didn't get any sound. Video alone, or audio alone, worked, though.
