Recording a asx file on timer is it possible?

Is it possible to record a asx file from my desktop and record it starting and finishing at a certain time of night.?..Can already covert the file to desktop not problems there but need to set a time cause its on late...its a music file ..Thanks sorry im not very clear Cheers Rhurbarb

Thanks so much.Had a bit of grief with it at first so i had to open a new user account to get past a minor problem..
All is working well now though.
One question is it possible to make the computer close down completely at a certain time? Thanks very much and was very simply to do ..Makes a change for me ...Rhurbarb
