Disable Alert when Track Changes?

Hi all;

Is there a way to disable the "Alert" that pops up when VLC moves to the next track in an audio playlist?

I don't mind the alert itself, but the little "pop" sound is kind of distracting.

OTOH, I like having VLC in the System Tray for easy access to the playback controls, so I don't want to remove it altogether.

I've looked through the preferences, but I can't seem to find a way to disable these alerts without removing it from the System Tray altogether.

TIA.

Many thanks. It would have taken me days to find that for myself.
