After video capture- right side audio statitc

HI,

I have use VLC for ages and thgis is the first time this has come up, however it may not be vlc, it could be something else.

I capture in Media Studio 8 as DV avi and when I play back in VLC 1.0.5 win32 I get static every now and then on one stereo side.

If I play in QT or Nero Showtime, it is fine.

Could it be a codec problem or?

Open Tools -> Messages... (set Verbosity to 2) and check what is says when static comes up.
