Low audio volume in VLC 1.05 on win7 x64

Hi, i've used vlc for years but with v1.05 the volume is VERY quiet, i have to increase the volume on my amp to get listenable volume, the normal volume level works fine in mpc-hc but not in the latest version of vlc.

I have win7 x64, realtek ALC888 audio 5.1 audio and latest realtek drivers. I have latest ac3filter installed, i've tried with default audio out and also win32 out which i always use so i can send ac3 audio to my amp via optical out on my motherboard.

hope you can fix this in the next build.

thanks.

Does it help if you remove %appdata%\vlc folder?

It wasn't a bug, if delete %appdata%/vlc saved you. (It was more a corrupted cache) :D

i chose to save my settings when i updated from 1.03, do you think this might have done it?

Yes sir. Keeping settings keeps the cache. :D

Okay Neither of the above mentioned thing worked... m hvin acer 5920 laptop with realtek sound card and drivers. i think the older version 1.03 was better than 1.05....audio is too low for me .Deleting appdata/vlc din work for me...ne other solutions....:(
