how do i activate the time slider...

i have downloaded the new 1.0.3 version and now i can't advance my vids with the time slider,is there a way to activate it...i have looked in the settings

and did not find anything...thanks for your help....

I am facing same problem in some video clips replayed, downloaded from u tube.

ahh boi...same problem here man...using windows 7 and just downloaded the latest version of vlc 1.0.3....the slider won't work...if i try sliding it it just restarts the media....and the timer doesn't work either....i mean it counts as the file is playing but it doesn't show the entire time length of the file :(

Known issue for .flv files. Should be fixed in next release.
