Problem installing manually VLC 1.0.3 Plug-in into Firefox

Hi, I have VLC 1.0.3 ZIP distribution.
Reading the docs at http://wiki.videolan.org/Windows#VLC_Pl ... Mozilla.29 it seems it is possible install the plug-in manually:
1. Quit Firefox or Mozilla
2. Copy the two files in VLC_Installation_folder\mozilla (usually C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\mozilla) to your mozilla plugins directory (Usually C:\Program Files\Mozilla\plugins or C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins).
3. Restart Firefox or Mozilla
I followed those steps and verified that the plug-in appears as installed in Firefox but it doesn't react to the embed HTML code. And I know the HTML code is correct because it works fine in another box with same versions but installing VLC 1.0.3 automatically and not manually (EXE bundle instead of ZIP one).
Have you suffered same problem? Is there any step missing? Perhaps a PATH entry? Problem is that Firefox doesn't say anything.... directly nothing appears in the page and no error appears.
Thanks in advance,
Chemi.
