Weird launch behavior

Greetings!
I've searched around for a solution to this, but couldn't find one.
Every single time I launch VLC, it opens at the top-left corner of the screen. If I attempt to move the window, it compresses to nothing but the title bar and the playback controls. I can then expand it again, but this behavior is getting really annoying. I have a 30" screen and it's very annoying to have it open at the top left every single time no matter what.
What is causing this?
I'm running Windows 7 Pro. This has been happening to me ever since the Windows 7 betas.
