Deinterlacing

Postby denisvh » 16 Jan 2010 15:09

I use now the version 1.0.3
The previous version was unable to capture video devices such as the webcam or a tv capture device (I use the hauppauge VR 900.
Now the current version is able to capture these devices.
Unfortunately, the image quality is very poor. This comes from the fact that the image is not deinterlaced.
I tried to use the deinterlacinc functionality of LC, but this does not work. Depending on the chosen method, VLC does nothing (the image is not deinterlaced) or stops displaying anything (the display windows abd VLC appears like plyaing only sounds).
For information, the best method for this device seems to be the linear blendinf (I tested this wit KM Player). But the linear method of VLC is one of those that make the image completely disappear.
Best regards.
DF.

The deinterlace in Video menu are just for playback, and at least Blend and X are broken
