Problems in adding file on videolan playlist

Postby Bhaal » 07 Jan 2010 18:31

Hi i have vista64bit.
When i select for example 10 mp3 and then click with the right button "play" (don't know if in english version the button call so) or "add to vlc playlist" or "play with vlc" then not all the tracks that i selected are added in the playlist and sometimes in casual order. Why?

i tried with 32 OS but the problem is the same...
i highlight some mp3 and the i just click with the right mouse button on "reproduce (play)" or "add to playlist" or "play with vlc"
but the problem is that the order of the mp3 play list is casual
why?

Depends how you select the files. If you e.g. use Shift key, you have to select the last file first and the first file last.

I've been a user for about 5 years (since my Win 2k days...) and I've always just lived with this.
Not only are the tracks added to the playlist in an apparently random order, but the last track is then played first, after which, playback stops.
My workaround has always been to then open the playlist, and double-click on the top song (which doesn't fix the order, but at least all songs get played.
I would love to know how to play songs in VLC by just opening them from a directory, and have them play in the order the tracks are numbered, like Winamp/WMP/iTunes.
