How to set the channel number in tv recording.

Hello everybody,
I've a problem using vlc in recording mode, I'd like to record a tv channel using a TERRATEC CINERGY T-USB XE.
Could someone help me in how to specify the recording channel number ?
Normally the recording starts but the recording channel is "random".

Here is the operation:

Media -> Open Capture Device -> DVB DirectShow -> DVB-T -> 818000 Khz -> 8 MHz -> Play

When the screen of a tv-channel appears, I clik the red bullet to record.
The problem is that the recording file contains another channel, different from the one I see non the screen.

Thanks for any suggestion.

Antonio

Hello,

The "red bullet" seems to record the whole stream from the DVB-T device. So, you can select the channel from your recorded ts.file : when playing it, select the fifth line from the "play" menu ("Programme" in French, maybe "Program" or "Channel" in English). Then chose the channel you want to playback.

It works like this with VLC 1.0.2/XP and French DVB-T broadcasting.

Anyway, the default TS file is huge and it would be better to record only the watched channel. I also ask for a simple way to do that.

Thanks.

Manu

How silly of me...... I should have seen it before asking.
Anyway, I can confirm that also the [rel. 1.0.3] on DVB-T [ITALY] has the same "feature".

By the way, do you know an application that can extract the desired channel from the .ts file ?

Thank You
Antonio

ProjectX should work if you use demux option.
