MPEG2, IPTV, DVD (VOB)

Try youself open some MPEG2 file, enable BOB deinterlace (or any other except blend), then switch to BLEND, then again go into deinterlace menu and you will see that DISABLED is set, not BLEND that you clicked.

If open video and directly go and set BLEND it will be marked BLEND, but the video would not blink for restarting video output. So nothing happens when switching from DISBALED to BLEND and back.

it is not a GUI bug as i thought first, BLEND is not working from command line, from libvlc app, from playlist with vlc options, anyway
I asked some of my friend to test the same MPEG2 IPTV channel in VLC 1.0-1.0.3 (WinXP, Vista, 7) all agreed that blend is not working, video is "combed"

With 0.8.6f, 0.9.8a, 0.9.9 - all ok, blend working, GUI deinterlace menu working correctly

I'll try to record video with a mobile phone or camera to show...

You see
main debug: looking for video blending module: 1 candidate
blend debug: chroma: YUVA -> I420
main debug: using video blending module "blend"
something like that in Tools -> Messages... (set Verbosity to 2) when you enable Blend?

X deinterlace doesn't work either - at least, not in 1.0.3

agree

Any news about Blend and X ? Blend is the best deinterlace ever :(

I just can't understand how this thing happend. Nobody use VLC since 1.0 for watching MPEG2? It can't be... Or people who watch MPEG2 still use 0.8.x? :)

have your ever seen not interlaced video from SAT or IPTV?
yadiff uses twice more CPU then Blend
VLC is the only open software for multicast IPTV
