Hello everyone!
I have tried to make my laptop's remote control to work with VideoLan but no luck. I read that it should be activated through the 'hotkeys' tool under 'preferences', but there is no feature to activated related to the remote control... has anyone been able to make it work???

Myself marry from United states, Just read your post and the query along with your post. You cant use a remote control for controlling a VLC player cos it has its specific hot keys through which only it can be controlled. By the way you can use your remote control to control different others players which can be easily operated through it. So you can enjoy you remote control with other players like media player, jet audio-video player,winamp etc.
