Very strange: with VLC 1.0.2 if I use "Open File" and navigate to a NAS share I can't see all the files; some appear and others don't but it isn't clear why (they have the same attributes). It doesn't seem to matter how deep the folder nesting is either.
If I use "Advanced Open File" I can see them in the "File/Add" menu and choose them and play them from there.
Since there's a workaround, it's not a real problem but it's odd and weird.

Filenames have some special chars in them?
