I like to disable the right click function on the video area of the vlc main window. This is so that the default mini menu does not show.. I've tried to modify existing Skins with VLC Skin Editor 0.8.5 to do this but not possible.

No. RIght click over video is part of video output architecture.Can I remove one of the dll files in the plugins folder, if so which one.
Only option is source code editing since AFAIK key and mouse event handling at vout level option doesn't work under Windows.
