Windows 7 compatible?

So VLC is the only media player I'm gonna use in W7. I'll be installing it in a few days. I just saw the front page and although it says W7 Compatible, I heard there are pixelation issues. Please someone post a solution ASAP so I can finally install Windows 7. Because seriously, this is the only thing stopping me.

In short, my question is:

Does VLC 1.02 fix the pixelation issues in Windows 7 when fullscreen? Or is it still there? PLEASE REPLY!

Pixelation will be there if you use Direct3d video output module of VLC in Windows 7 with WDDM 1.1 compatible display drivers.

I'm gonna stick with Vista till they fix this issue. I don't know why they aren't admitting it. I don't think it will be this hard for them to fix. Weird really.

There isn't anything wrong in VLC. Same codepath works OK in XP, Vista and even in 7 if you use Vista display drivers. There aren't any documented changes to Direct 3D in 7 that would cause this.

One way is to extract the display driver installation package to hard drive and install from Vista inf.
