Hi,

Can vlc show me (with a command) what is on the DVD, such as the titles, language of each audio track?

Cheers,
Morten

It should show titles and chapters if you right click the video and select Playback (there should be chapters, titles)

thanks, but can I do it from the command line? I would like some output I can parse, and then run vlc one or more times to rip the DVD. Output like:

title-1: Trailor1
audio-track-1: English
title-2: The Movie
audio-track-1: English
audio-track-2: Danish

and so on.

Cheers,
Morten

I ended up using handbrake-cli interface (www.handbrake.fr). I made a C# wrapper API around handbrake.
