Something Very odd i need explained.

Postby zocheyado » 27 Sep 2009 17:58

okay so about a month ago i downloaded the series "friends" and i was watching it. i watched it all no big right? after that i transferred it off my hard drive onto a external hard Drive because it was like 50gb. okay. now the hard drive is not plugged in mind you. its upstairs in a box. okay. now i thought today a month later i would watch the "saw" series. so i started the download. it got like....10% on one so i thought i would test it to see the quality. it showed about 3 seconds of saw...then jumped to the middle of one of the friends episodes....it plays completely functionally. no problems u can even fast foreword go back and everything. and i know the downloaded of saw isnt bad and just friends instead cause its only 10% done and i can watch and skip through the whole thing....it must be getting it off my hard drive. so i am very confused. lol. can anyone explain to me how VLC can bring back a video from the dead?

Either you have downloaded fake file or there is some problem in you filesystem. VLC itself cannot playback removed files.
