Hey! I'm interested in getting small clip out of a film. Nearly the same as making a snapshot, just a 2min clip from a film fx. Isn't it possible in VLC??? there are the button RECORD, but I dont know have it works, because nothing is happening when I push it.

The video is recorded to your document folder

No it does not.
The record button does nothing. No files are placed in My Documents.
There are no settings in preferences on this feature.
There is nothing in the docs about this feature.
Therefore it is not a feature of VLC. It is just a button that does nothing.

I am using 1.1.2 I am afraid of upgrade hell, so I do not upgrade unless there is overwhelming reason to do so. I have also read of a lot of crash problems with 1.1.4
