Convert video is bad

The higher the resolution, the worse the convert T_T
Now I realize that VLC support many things, but nothing is perfect I hope you will improve it

The resolution of the first movie is higher and it happen more frequently.

You need to use higher bitrates.

At the profile combobox I choose video-WMV+WMA (ASF), then click "edit selected profile", at video codec tab set bitrate to 512kb/s (the bitrate of source video is 216kb/s), and others leave default, save and convert but it still bad like that, when I view properties of the converted file the bitrate is 0 ???

512 kbps isn't enough for 720x480 resolution video. More like 2 000 is required.

yeah it worked !
720px × 480 set the bit rate to 2000, so how much I should set the bitrate with 1024px × 576 ?? 10.000 ? How to know that number ??? And is there any harm if I set the bitrate too high ??

PS: 8192 is max, cannot set higher But it seem to be enough for high resolution, thanks

Trial and error. (or check what scene guys are using for their movie rips)

Filesize will grow or streaming will demand more bandwidth.
