Missing Dirac encoder

Postby bataci » 06 Aug 2009 13:00

I receive this message when I want to convert a film to Dirac video: "Streaming / Transcoding failed:
It seems your FFMPEG (libavcodec) installation lacks the following encoder: Dirac." All the other codec (MPEG 2/4, H.264, etc) works.

Did somebody manage to do this already, or is the Dirac encoder missing from the program?

It is missing from libavcodec if you get that complain. So self compile libavcodec for VLC or wait for some upcoming release that adds support.

No, dirac is a special module separated from libavcodec.

Can we have MORE info?
