VLC Will Not Play GeoVision Security Video AVI's

VLC will not play my GeoVision security video Avis. Strange because Windows Media Player and WinAmp will play them. Is this some type of codec problem? Is there any way I could add the GeoVision Codec to the VLC player?
Maybe I could donate a copy of the GeoVision codec to the VLC developers or something. Any Ideas?
I have the same problem with the AVIS when I put them on my online photo storage site Fotime.com They wont play untill I convert them with Windows Movie Maker or Roxio.

Yes, this is a codec that isn't in VLC.

Hi,

Unable for me to play this video with the latest version of VLC (v1.0.1) and Windows Media Player know read it  ...

Here's a small ~76k sample :

http://dl.free.fr/gFqOxxfgq

The FourCC code for this video is GM40, that's a copy of my error log :

Pas de décodeur approprié pour le format:
VLC ne supporte probablement pas le format audio ou vidéo « GM40 ». Malheureusement il n’y a rien à faire.

I've already try to setup the latest GeoVision CCTV MPEG4 Codec 8.1.2 from this link, but unable to play this video with VLC :?

I've already try to register manually GXAMP4.dll with regsvr32 (which seems to be the dll file that's required from this link).

Thanks !
