VLC keeps resizing the window when I stretch it

When I use VLC to watch videos that are fairly small in size, I like to stretch the window so it's bigger on the screen. VLC has the habit of resizing it back to the video's original width/height. I don't know what causes it to resize the video, maybe a timer or something, but I want to disable this behavior. I've only been playing DVD ISO's in VLC, if it matters.

I am using the latest version of VLC on a fresh install. This never used to happen on older versions of VLC, but ever since I switched to v.1 it's been exhibiting this behavior.

I've searched on Google for a solution, and browsed this forum as well, but I have yet to find anybody describe what I am describing and a solution.

Looks like I found a solution to the problem. Tools > Preferences > uncheckmark "Resize interface to video size", close and restart VLC.

Can anybody confirm this? Thanks.
