When I convert a video format from FLV to MP4 or whatever...

the converted video has a green logo or something at the beginning.

Is there anyway to convert video formats without this ?

Thanks for any help.

What kind of program are you using to do the conversion?

Cause that might be inserting the logo.

If you mean artifacts at beginning of the transcoded video, it is a known bug.

I think this big fat green letter "T" during the first few frames...
came from the website that "captured" the YouTube video.

I used splandoo.com do capture the YouTube video to my computer... and I think they put the "logo" or whatever that big fat green letter "T" is during the first few frames.

I went back and looked at the original FLV file and it is there... so it seems VLC did not introduce it.

What are other good tools for capturing online video?

Thanks for the help.

keepvid.com works OK for YouTube videos.
