Sub ASynch/Pause Probs in 1.1.0-git + Audio Probs in 1.0.0

Hi guys.

I downloaded the trunk version 1.1.0 from that link:
http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/win ... 0723-2204/

and played the following file:
Sub:
ssa, English
Video:
Codec: h264 - mpeg-4 avc (part 10) avc1
resolution: 1280x720
framerate: 23.97...
Audio:
Codec: Mpeg AAC Audio (mp4a) stereo 48 mHz

now my problem is:
When i press the pause button when a sub line is showing the line disappears after some time (about 1 sec or less).
Yeah i am not really a fast reader and when a subbing group uses more then 3 lines in 2 secs i need to pause and wana read the sub, but thats kinda impossible and i have to rewind and pause again.
After i have finally read the whole text i press the play button but now there is another problem :( The sub doesnt show for about 10 secs...

Hope you can fix that in the next release or help me fix it when i have made a mistake.
Btw, why did I download a trunk version? Because the "Goldeneye" Version of VLC (1.0.0) didnt play the sound of that file.

Another Problem i forgot to tell, in Windows7 (maybe its the same in Vista) after some times open/closing vlc i get in my recently used programs under the start menu the following entry:
"Set Audio mode to DirectX (default)"
Properties are:
Destination: "D:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" --aout aout_directx --save-config vlc://quit
Run at: "D:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC"

It would be nice to have the entry VLC, especially because i cant start that entry.

Does a "branch" build of VLC 1.0.1-pre playback the sound correctly?

I was afraid that question would pop up....
The fact that i said:
Btw, why did I download a trunk version? Because the "Goldeneye" Version of VLC (1.0.0) didnt play the sound of that file.
Means that the version 1.0.0 couldnt play the sound, the current version 1.1.0-git i mentioned in the first post, plays the sound perfectly thats why i didnt list it up to the problems i have with 1.1.0-git (Sub ASynch/Pause Probs).
If you really like to know if the branch version plays the sound, just tell me and i will get rid of the trunk version (that already plays the sound) and download/install the latest branch version to test it.

Btw, whats with the other problems i have?

So.. just in case you really need that information i just downloaded/installed the latest branch version (http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/win ... 0725-0004/), and Yes it plays the sound perfectly just like the trunk version mentioned above.

Hope you can help me with the other problems.
Btw, now i have in the start menu another entry (recently used programs):
"Set Audio mode to Waveout"
Properties:
Destination: "D:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" --aout waveout --save-config vlc://quit
Run at: "D:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC"

or i get that
"Set Main Interface to Skinnable"
Properties:
Destination: "D:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -I skins --save-config vlc://quit
Run at: "D:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC"

It would be really helpfull to get only one entry that actually let you start vlc. (Dont ignore my other problems in my first post, pretty please)

Do you mean that i shall open an trac? Just wondering because in the last times the mods always opened one.
If i really have to make it on my own, where can i do so? And can everyone open one? Isnt that like asking for spam tracs?

OK, well that is good because it should mean that it will be fixed for the next release. I was only asking because if it didn't work (i.e. if only the trunk version worked) then the bug wouldn't be fixed for the next release.
Hope you can help me with the other problems.

Both of those entries are written to the "VideoLAN" start menu folder (in the "Quick Settings" sub-folder IIRC). Not sure why you are getting them as recently used programs though (I have WinXP so haven't encountered that problem).

Anyhow, as j-b said, fill a bug on Trac. You need to register and get you account validated in order to submit a new ticket. To do this either ask on IRC, or send PM stating you Trac username (PM an admin such as j-b :)).

Arite.
