Possible bug in 1.0.0 RC interface

I use the Remote Control interface through a program called Event Ghost. When I try to skip forward VLC plays slower instead. I went back to 9.9 and skip forward works correctly.

I'm using XP Pro Sp3 with all available updates.

Do the QT4 interface buttons work correctly? (so skip forward doesn't do play slower)

It may be that I don't know how to use the qt4 interface but whenever I activate it VLC mostly crashes when started and I haven't been able to get it to play any video. I had to reset preferences to get it working again. If you would like to point me to qt4 instructions I'll be happy to test this further. Thanks for the help.

Ok, in the default interface I can right click go to playback then click jump forward and it skips forward correctly. Using the remote control interface through Event Ghost when I try to jump forward it plays slower however when I tried going back to the earlier version, 9.9 I think, using the same interface in Event Ghost jump forward works correctly.

Since I'm using the same program to control both versions and it works correctly in the earlier version but not the latest it would stand to reason that there is either a bug or the remote control code for jump forward has changed. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

AFAIK default jump hotkeys should be same in VLC 1.0.0 and VLC 0.9.9

I've got the same problem with the rc-interface and 1.0.1 (works with 0.9.6). Any help is appreciated.

Btw the help for rc states such strange things as "rewind - set to minimum rate". What I want a "rewind" to do is actually going back the stream?! I am looking for a convenient way to skip a few seconds back and forth. Unfortunately "seek" does not do the trick as it seems to work with absolute times. Again any comments on this are welcome.
