1.0.0 sucks.. cannot delete all VLC folders

Postby vlcisretarded » 18 Jul 2009 20:01

so after trying the abortion that is 1.0.0, i tried to uninstall and go back to 0.9.9.

i uninstalled using the 'uninstall' in vlc folder. deleted prefs too.
then i reinstalled 0.9.9. however, it would NOT WORK AT ALL and i would get an error message when i tried to open program, it would not proceed to open vlc at all.

so... we are stuck with 1.0.0? how do we uninstall ALL VLC FILES with nothing left over?

why cant we re-install 0.9.9?

i no longer want vlc software on my machine, and the software seems to be preventing me from removing it

You are probably doing everything wrong...

Quit VLC, and check that it is not running in background with taskman.

Delete %appdata%/vlc folder
Delete VLC install folder

Reboot and reinstall whatever version you want. VLC 1.0.0 should run pretty fine though.
