Microsoft Multi-Media keyboard support

I have a Microsoft Brand MultiMedia keyboard. At first the keys were working (the next, back, stop, play and pause buttons) but then, when I closed it and later brought it back up, they didn't work. I tried a few times of restarting with no avail. I've even edited the hotkeys, nothing. I'd also like it to do change when I'm not on VLC, like in a game. If none of this is fixable thank you. If any of this can work, let me know please.

So even if you bind the keys to Global ones via Hotkeys they don't work?

Actually, the Global won't set! And when I hot key it, it doesn't change, even when the screen is open

It doesn't work with Natural Ergonomic 4000

Microsoft(R) Natural(R) MultiMedia Keyboard 1.0A. That's exactly what it says on my Keyboard.
