Merging videos?

Postby Chunky » 16 Jul 2009 12:53

Is there a way to combine two .mkv video files? I'm watching a series and it starts for about a minute then loops the same scene over again where the opening credits should be, then I have to skip the video to past where the OP should finish which results in annoyance and about 30 seconds which never play. The video and the OP are separate files and I'm not sure how to place one inside another at a specific point (usually about 1 minute in), if that's possible?

(I'm new to VLC, player if you haven't guessed)

You can use mkvtoolnix to join MKV videos. Some MKV chapters and linked files won't work correctly in VLC.
