Streaming fails after upgrade to 1.0.0

After upgrading to 1.0.0 I could not use the XM Radio streaming application. The XM application (according to their tech support) required Windows Media Player and the presence of 1.0.0 would not allow streaming to work. I would much prefer to use 1.0.0 and am looking for help in making that happen.

VLC doesn't have an effect to other software because it doesn't install any codec or filters.

When the software is installed, XM Radio streaming does not work, and when it is uninstalled, XM Radio streaming does work. So, my question is does anyone have a solution to make 1.0.0 work with this application?

Do you use "XM Radio" online, with a web browser?
If yes, have you tried to install VLC ensuring "ActiveX component" and "Mozilla plugin" are not checked during VLC setup?

Maybe your software uses VLC but it doesn't include support for latest VLC? (parameters and usable options have changed between 0.8.6 -> 1.0.0)

VLC_help, what are the changes of usable options between 0.8.6 and 1.0.0?
