Can not play .xspf created by 0.9.9 or earlier

The version branch-20090630-0004 vlc player cannot play the .xspf playlist saved by 0.9.9 or earlier (on both WIndows XP w/ SP3 and Vista w/ SP2.) When double click on the .xspf file, vlc starts to interpret the .xspf file. But instead of playing the video, it seems to have trouble finding the video files listed in the .xspf file. Instead it pops the playlist windows with the Title field (column) that looks like:

Z:\My Favorite Songs\file1.mp4
Z:\My Favorite Songs\file2.vlc
Z:\My Favorite Songs\file3.mp4
...

Most of the displayed entries are in plain characters but some entries are in bold face. Thanks.

XSPF playlist format parsing was changed to work around some issues (like / in URI). I assume that has caused the old playlists not to work (they use wrong paths).

Could you please give the detailed changes so that I modify my old playlist to get it going? It's very easy for me to use vim (on Windows) to make changes if I know what to modify. Thanks.

They can be found from mailing list, but it is easier to save new playlist and compare it to old one.

Great! So simply changing all "file://" to "file:///" solves my problem. Thanks.
