okay so i have version 0.8.6d on a 1 and a a half year old vista pc, and i am having problems with the length that subtitles are on the screen. They are on the screen for so long that they overlap, and it makes them quite hard to read, does anyone have any suggestions to solve my problem?

Yeah, your subs probably have overlapping hide/show times. You can use Subtitle Workshop to automatically fix that. Can't remember the exact menu option right now...
