Desktop stream only has 1 fps ?

VLC 0.9.9 on WinXP Pro SP3

- menu Meadi / Streaming...
- tab "Capture Device"
- Capture mode: Desktop
- select "Show more options"

Two issues:
- changing the "Desired frame rate for capture." option on the top does not update the "Customize" field below. No matter how I change the frame rate in the upper spinner fiedl, the string below always says: screen:// :screen-fps=1
If I change the Caching option, then the "Customize" string is updated : screen:// :screen-fps=1 :file-caching=301

- No matter what FPS I select, I get about 1-2 fps on playback. I did:
- click Stream in the Wizard
- in the following dialog select "Play locally", click "Stream"

Other issues:
- ctrl-C, ctrl-V does not work in the "Customize" field. Right click and select Copy/Paste in the menu on the other hand do work.

- the mouse pointer is not captured

Regards,
David

Have you tested VLC 1.0.0 nightly builds?

I tried 1.0.0-rc1

It is much worse.
It basically kills the system.

The picture also seems compressed (JPEG like artifacts), even if I unckeched the transcoding option.

Transcoding options don't affect the local playback. They are only for streaming/saving. Is the FPS selection fixed?

You mean if it is updated below as I change it above ?
No it isn't.

PS: Does this work on your system ?

FPS change doesn't work in my system either. I just needed verification from you. Thanks. Trac opened
