TV Streaming / Temp / Ram-Disk

Heya,
Im using a Ramdisk ( 4 GB ) for Temp Files and Logging which Windows is creating. So the Windows Temp directories are redirected to my Ramdisk ( Z:)
so since some hours im watching tv through vlc, a windows notification bumped up and showed me, Z: is full. ok im browsing through Z: and find a 3,9gb file of HTTA07F.tmp. I couldnt delete this file, so i am rebooting and the file is gone.
streaming again through vlc and watching the temp-folder i can continuous see a file growing and growing with the time. if i stop vlc, also the file stops to grow.
so im pretty sure this temp file is beeing created by vlc.
how can i redirect the temp files vlc is making on my harddisk without changing the overall-temp-directories for windows which are directed to my ramdisk
?
thanks
using:
vlc 0.9.8a
windows 7 rc
asus p5q-e
hd4870x2
e8400
2x ocz vertex ssd / 2x wd caviar blue
