HEllo all
I have a small problem with vlc, So far i've had win xp x64 and vlc worked perfectly, recently i've upgraded to version 0.9.9 and on win xp worked like a charm better than ever. But also recently my win suffered some problems so i've upgraded to Vista Ultimate x64 and user vlc 0.9.9. From that moment on the problems started to occour. Now at any given avi when i start the movie it goes everythiong well until i decide to search forword and backwards excesively or many shift+lefts and after a while the sound dissapears. No more sound till the end of the of the movie no matter how long it is. If i restart the movie the sound is present once more. Second problem at some time it has problems with the procesor i think, because when it come to decoding the sound it gives a short static click like a milisec or smth just to make the sound annoing. Now you would probably say that it's a faulty piece in there or drivers of some sort.... buuut, even when i play mkv files and even with the coreavc installed everything runs in slow motion with plenty of dropping frames. My CPU is a E4500 and i have 4gb ram, GF9600GT, sb creative X-FI with a 5.1 input. Plenty enough for everything. Now never the less, i uninstalled this "piece of crap" and tryed with mplayerc ( media player classic - homecinema edition ) and it worked like a charm, no errors on seeking, no bad input no sound loss, and mkv's run like a charm ( even big file with a very big compression rate ).Then i've started to wonder if that worked what about vlc... so i've tryed the previous version 0.9.8a and here the first improvements are the sound no more bad sound and no more losses of sound on seeking, and the mkv files play prety good compared to version 0.9.9. Now i have to ask did i set smth wrong? Did i forgot to make a setting, when i uninstalled i didn't delete my previous settings so what gives ?
hope some1 can answer me.
Cya and keep up the good work
