Play three video files concurrently

Is it possible to open three windows and start playback of all the files at the same moment?
i need to the videos of three cameras on a racing car (rear, front, cockpit) synchronized.
i am greatfull for evry type of help.

Why not mux the 3 video files together?

could you give me a hint on how to do that (just point me to the neccessary resources).
looking for mux in the wiki just redirected me to 'Container'.

Older VLC's might have netsync option, which allows you to start playback in multiple VLC instances at same time. Another option might be the global hotkey support in VLC 1.0.0

Is this still an option in 1.0? I am testing 1.0 RC and see no option for GHK's.

Tools -> Preferences... and Hotkeys should have Global section where you can define global hotkeys.
