Taskbar coming to foreground @Nod Update

Hi,
I tried the checkbox "Always on top", but when I'm in fullscreen mode, and watching a movie with VLC, and THEN NOD updates (first there comes an overlay info that it updated - thats ok), the taskbar pops into the foreground. In my opinion it is because of the changing NOD symbol in the taskbar, but I hate that action. I have to stand up, go to the computer and click on the videolayer to be in complete foreground again.

So how can I set, that the taskbar doesn't get into foreground if a symbol (next to the clock) changes or is suddenly "active". I don't wanna hide the taskbar all the time or let it always be in background, I know these matching Windows XP checkboxes, that's not the feature I'm searching.

Untested, but have you tried the "--video-on-top" command line option?

No, but isn't it the same as Settings-->Video-->Always on Top?

Oh, yes probably. Sorry.

Normal taskbar changes shouldn't do that. Ones that steal focus might do that. AFAIK there isn't any solution for that.
