Keyboard shortcuts to do audio sync, while video is running?

Hi,
I read somewhere that to sync the audio while a movie is running, i can use the ctrl+k/l keys
but somehow, when i press ctrl+L -> it toggles the playlist !!!
am i doing something wrong ?
what is the correct key combination to do this
