Hi,
after playing a video and not using the "Stop"-button and not waiting til end of video VLC doesn't shut down correctly.
It remains in the taskbar and in the taskmanager (vlc.exe)and you can't re-open it..
Sometimes you can't remove the VLC-icon from the taskbar and sometimes you can remove it by using right-click-shutdown.

thx

Found out the reason:
is fault of the skins. Without skin it runs perfectly.

Yes, skins are broken on 0.9.9. Try 1.0.0 please for skins.

Hi,

VLC 0.9.9 crashes on exit , libqt4_plugin.dll indicated as culprit.

Skins or no skins it keeps crashing when I use the close app box in upper right corner.
Tried using the system codecs in preferences to see if there was a difference. It's the same.
It also has an annoying (10 secs) delay when opening a video for the first time (xvid) and then it works ok.

0.8.6 has none of these faults on the same machine, Windows XP SP3, NVidia 9400 GT with 512 MB.

This also happens if you just open VLC and close it?

Video stays black, or playback doesn't start at all?
