File association setup seems don't work on Windows 7.
Does anybody know a workaround?

What do you mean exactly? I have some extensions associated with VLC and it works.

I can bins association file-by-file, but not via Options dialog in VLC: Right-click on file in Windows Explorer and select Open With...
But file associations don't work in Options dialog of VLC
