Trouble using fullscreen on a secondary monitor in Vista

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I just recently downloaded VLC 0.9.8a and have been having trouble with getting fullscreen to work on my secondary monitor. I use two monitors (a desktop monitor as my primary, and an LCD TV as my secondary). Every time I fullscreen the video, it always goes to my primary monitor, and not the monitor that the window was in. I looked through the preferences, but couldn't find anything to change this. In older versions of VLC, it would always fullscreen to the monitor that the window was currently displaying in.

Any help/advice to fix this problem would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

This is bug in 0.9.8a. It is fixed in upcoming 0.9.9 and 1.0.0 releases.

Ok, Thanks for your response.

Any idea when those might be released?

Thanks.

0.9.9 hopefully soon, there is already release candidate available. You can test 1.0.0 if you want

Yup, I can also confirm this is definitely *not* fixed for me by 1.0.0 on Windows Vista.

The post linked below contains an offsite link to a build that seems to have squashed this bug:
