[SOLVED] VLC Won't Play on Second Monitor

Hey, I did a lot of looking around with no success on fixing this issue.

Finally after hours of playing around I found my solution to play VLC on my second monitor in full screen.

Tools > Preferences > Show All Settings > Video > Uncheck Embedded Video

Thought I would post this for anyone else having an issue.

indeed thats the only solution i managed to find completely out of the blue today while i was trying to watch videos in vlc when i bought my new 40'' led tv couple hours ago

if i check the embedded video setting vlc will send the signal to my primary monitor 1280x1024 even if the video is 1080p AND EVEN IF I CHOOSE "\\.\DISPLAY2"

wtf is going on here? i dont like seperate windows for the controls and seperate for the actal video
althoooooooo.... on the other hand this is actually working better i can have the controls in my primary monitor and the video in my tv like a telecontrol wowomg!!!!!!

-edit- omg from the whole web the only one mentioning the only solution to my problem is u and u decided to post the solution the day i got my new tv lolorofl!!!

Nope, not solved. There isn't such an option on my latest download of VLC (0.9.8a). I've had to go to minimal view and then expand it to fit my screen. I just have to live with a slight blue bar on the top of my screen.

check advanced settings

the problem is solved however every time u play a new video lets say in a playlist window will close and then open in the primary screen again so u have to change it to window move it to the 2nd screen and make it full screen again
wich is kinda annoying when u are watching lots of small videos

This didn't work for me. Running a projector out of an old laptop. I can see the video on the laptop screen but not on the projector screen.
