Yes, don't transcode, just remux.

Thanks a lot - but I do not know what "remux" is - where can I find info about that?

When transcoding, don't select any video or audio codec. Just select Encapsulation method MPEG-PS.

Very easy: use TMPEnc (freeware).
File... MPEG Tools..... Simple De-Multiplex
Input: Browse.....
Select Filetype All files (*.*) otherwise vob won't show
select one of your .VOB files, then click on "Run" button
And..... that's it, you can save your M2V (VIDEO) and MP2 (audio)
With the same program you can merge video-M2V + audio-MP2 in a single MPG file.
