Can't open DVD with 'No Menus' (dvdsimple)

Finally solved the out-of-sync problem under v0.9.x but now a new issue appears. Neither v0.9.8a nor v1.0.0 allow me to open a DVD under the function "No DVD Menus" (dvdsimple).

It runs alright with this function unchecked; but whenever it is checked, nothing happens at all. Here is what the VLC Debug log reports (sorry for the length of text) ::))

Hi,

I am experiencing exactly the same problem with 098a, and getting the same error log as in your post.

I also get an occasional crash when trying dvdsimple.

AppName: vlc.exe AppVer: 0.9.8.1 ModName: libdvdread_plugin.dll

Yes indeed, argb; I am sure we are not the only ones out there who encounter this problem. As I have several other rather annoying issues with v0.9.x I decided to for the moment go back to v0.8.6. See also my new thread "Problems of v0.9.x that were not extant under v0.8.x" if you find the time

dvdsimple is broken in 0.9.8a, it should work in 0.9.6
