VLC 9.8a Secondary Moniter Full Screen

Hi,

I have just upgraded to the latest version vlc.

I am currenty running Windows Vista 32bit with a sony tv used as a secondary display (extended desktop).

When i try to view vlc in full screen mode the window jumps back to my primary moniter. I have seached for the solution however i was unable to find one.

Also, when i drag the window from the primary to secondary the contrast changes dramatically and looks incorrect.

I did once correct this problem by messing with the video effects - strangly when i turned logo erase on????

EDIT: i just enabled then disabled the wall feature and now the contrast is correct, this does not always work - neither does the logo fix.
The fulls screen can be acheived by right clicking the video > Interface > Toggle full screen view.

Many thanks,
Ben Hathaway

You should deactivate hardware RGB->YUV in the preferences.

I had tried that before. Today again. Also the other hardware-Setting. (I have the German version and don't know how to translate ist correctly).
I also tried other video-methods including openGL which helped in an much older version of vlc.
I am going back to the previous release.

@j-b - "fix" did not work...also this is enabled by default in 0.9.6 and the full screen on tv-out is working correctly, and yes i made this account to post this cause i love vlc, thx for all your hard work :D
